Thank you for your interest in joining Sandwell & West Birmingham NHS Trust. We hope the information on this site helps you learn more about our organisation, our scope and scale, our achievements, challenges, ambitions and values.
This is an exciting time as we work towards opening our new hospital, Midland Met, in 2022. Our ability to centralise our acute services in one, fit for purpose, technologically advanced premises will be key to the broader re-design of the health and social care in the area. Sandwell and West Birmingham has some of the highest levels of deprivation in the country and we are dedicated to improving the lives of local people. Public health, regeneration and tackling poverty are the long-term purpose of our organisation and our ambition to become the best integrated care organisation in the NHS underpins this focus.
This will be achieved through a major change in service provision, transferring care closer to the local population, within community and primary care settings and through significant improvements in our acute services, made possible by the development of the new hospital.
We have a track record of achievements in this area on which to build and one in ten local residents now receives primary care direct from our organisation. We also work closely with local authority partners on opportunities to regenerate areas of the City and the borough of Sandwell in line with the construction plans for the new hospital.
While there is much to be proud of, we are not without challenges and in these key appointments to the board we are seeking energised and highly credible leaders to work with the Board of Directors. Our new Chief Nurse and Chief People Officer will be instrumental in the Trust moving forward, as we work on improving the quality of our services across the organisation, creating an environment of continual improvement and innovation, and ensuring our workforce is empowered and supported to deliver the very best in patient care.
We do encourage you to read more and contact our advisors at GatenbySanderson on 0113 205 6090 and we look forward to meeting you during the processes.
